Dr. Kwon is a native of Seoul Korea, raised in Vancouver, Canada. Dr. Kwon completed his training at prestigious Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Kwon stayed in the Boston area to work with leading specialists to deliver the highest form of care, where he was selected one of Boston’s Top Dentists in 2019.
Dr. Kwon is very caring and treats his patients with compassion, and gentle care. Him and his knowledgeable, experienced team provide comprehensive treatment in a friendly, relaxed, and comfortable setting. They will ensure that you receive nothing less than the best dental care. Dr. Kwon is certified and highly trained in esthetic dentistry and implantology. He spends most of his time on continuing education to bring world-class dentistry to his patients as he travels to connect and learn from leading specialists internationally.
Outside of his profession, Dr. Kwon and his wife enjoy traveling, cooking, and hunting for good food spots along the shoreline.

Sue is our Office Manager overseeing the day-to-day operations of the practice. Sue provides an extraordinary level of personal attention and dedication to patient requests. She has been a staple to the office for over 22 years and has enjoyed seeing multi-generational patients. Sue lives in Higganum with her husband, dog, cat, and chickens. In her spare time, she loves spending time quadding with her grandkids and gardening.
Melissa has over 17 years of customer service experience and supporting staff members. Melissa’s passion is dedicated to bringing her friendly smile and outgoing personality into the office. She currently supports the Office Manager and various projects throughout the office. Melissa resides in Old Saybrook with her three active boys. They enjoy traveling, being outside, and visiting with family.
Karen is the first person of contact at our office and her warm, caring , and professional nature provides our patients with a comforting experience during their appointment. She has over 16 years of experience providing compassionate customer care in the dental industry. In her spare time Karen enjoys photograph, kayaking , volunteering, and is a huge animal lover and has adopted several rescues.
Liddy is our Dental Assistant with over 20 years of experience. She enjoys working with patients to help create a positive experience. Helping others comes naturally to Liddy as she worked with special needs children in Vermont for many years. In her free time, Liddy expresses her creative side with music and pottery. She loves to spend her time walking, golfing, gardening and fishing with her husband, sons, and grandchildren. Family is important to Liddy and considers her colleagues and patients – extended family.
Jessica is a registered Dental Assistant with over 10 years experience in the dental field. She has a calm and nurturing manner which helps to comfort patients before, during and after their dental procedures. Our patients and staff enjoy her bubbly and positive personality. Jessica loves to bake in her spare time, and can also be found camping hiking, and boating with her family.
Ellen has passion for providing thorough but gentle care for her patients. She enjoys getting to know her patients on a personal level but is also committed to helping them achieve and maintain a healthy smile. Ellen and her husband have 2 daughters and 2 dogs. She most enjoys spending time with her family or going to her kids many sports and activities. Her personal interest outside of work are boating, skiing and health and fitness.
Practicing over forty years of dental hygiene, Lori enjoys helping the patients improve their oral health, which is very important to their overall health. Building relationships with the patients, sharing stories about families, traveling and lots of other events makes Lori look forward to when they return for their next visit. Lori was able to work and live in Zurich, Switzerland for nine years. While there, Lori learned German, traveled throughout Europe and also met her husband. She and her husband now reside in Ivoryton, Conn and have raised their only son there.
Kat’s passion is providing her patients with thorough preventative care. She strives to help patients achieve optimal oral health and overall health. Kat and her husband Ben enjoy hiking, traveling and spending time with their two dogs, Winnie and Duke.
Ann has been a dental hygienist for over 20 years. Ann grew up in the dental field; as her father was an orthodontist, she learned how to care for patients from a very young age. Ann hopes to put patients at ease with her gentle and calm demeanor. Volunteer work has been a big part of Ann’s life since junior high school. She has completed two years of full-time volunteer service in Texas and has been working with a veterans charity group since 2013. Ann has traveled extensively, visiting every continent except for Antarctica; she hopes to get there someday too! She enjoys caring for animals and is studying to get her volunteer wildlife rehabilitator’s license.
